So apparently Robert Allen Dickey has been pitching since APRIL with a torn abdominal muscle. That is fucking INSANE and incredible. 20 wins with that kind of injury is unheard of. If he wasn’t the front runner for the Cy Young already, this information should put him over the top. If not, I will punch a dude. Like, really hard.  

Hell of a first start for Matt Harvey. 11 k’s, 0 runs allowed, went 2-2 at the plate. First time since 1900 that a pitcher struck out 10-or-more batters and get at least two hits in his MLB debut.

Now let’s just the Mets bullpen holds up their end of the bargain.
